In an expanded and reimagined facility, DavisConnects brings together expert staff, inspiring spaces, and powerful resources. The purpose: to prepare students for postgraduate success by integrating classroom learning and off-campus experiences.
DavisConnects turns the traditional career-center model on its head. Our staff offers targeted insight and connections that enable students to build a career-enhancing suite of experiences, knowledge, and perspective.
DavisConnects is made possible by a $25-million gift from the Davis family and a trustee of its charitable foundation, Andrew Davis ’85, LL.D. ’15. Andrew Davis’s commitment to Colby has included serving as a trustee from 1996 to 1999 and as a College overseer from 1999 to 2006. The Davis family provided a $10-million lead gift to construct the Davis Science Center on Colby’s campus. Their commitment to high-quality, life-changing global experiences has been felt worldwide through such initiatives as the Davis United World College Scholars Program and the Davis Projects for Peace. At present, the Colby campus is home to 60 United World College Scholars, and nearly 250 claim Colby as their alma mater.
DavisConnects expands the reach of this signature program to ensure that every Colby student has opportunities for internships, research, and global experiences.
